Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 1, 2026
At Articos, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our services.
By using Articos, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services.
1. Disclaimer – Beta Version Notice
Our Site and any related services are currently in an early beta phase and may contain limitations, errors, or incomplete features. The Site is provided for preliminary use, testing, and evaluation purposes only. We make no guarantee that the product will be fully launched or that any particular features or functionalities will be available.
2. Who We Are
Articos (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is an AI-first user testing and research platform currently in private beta. Our website (https://www.articos.com) is provided for informational and early-access purposes. We are not a financial institution or advisory service, and we do not offer or sell any financial products or services at this stage. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer or financial advice. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit our site or submit information through our platform.
3. What We Collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to provide to us or that is collected automatically for analytics, including:
Contact Information
When you join our waitlist or sign up on our site, we collect personal identifiers such as your email address (and any other contact details you choose to provide). This typically occurs when you submit a form or request early access to our beta.
Landing Page Data
If you submit a landing page URL or related content for research analysis on our platform, we collect that URL and any information derived from analyzing it. This helps us perform the service you requested (providing feedback and insights on your landing page).
Usage Data
Like most websites, we gather technical data about how you interact with our site. We use PostHog (an analytics platform) to collect information such as your device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and referring website. This usage data helps us understand traffic patterns and user behavior on articos.com.
Session Replay Data
We may record sessions of user interactions on our website to better understand how users navigate our pages. These session replays can capture clicks, mouse movements, page transitions, and form interactions. Importantly, we do not capture any text you type into forms unless you choose to submit it. Session replay data helps us identify usability issues and improve the user experience.
Note: Our site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect for the following purposes, all aligned with operating and improving our platform and responding to your requests:
Outreach and Communication
If you provide your email (for example, by joining our waitlist or contacting us), we will use your contact information to follow up with you. This may include sending beta invitations, responding to inquiries, or providing updates you requested. You can opt out of these communications at any time (see Your Rights below).
Service Delivery and Support
If you submit a landing page or request an analysis, we use the information you provided to perform the requested analysis and deliver insights to you. We may also use your information to respond to any questions or support requests you send us.
Improving Our Site and Services
We analyze aggregate usage data and session replay recordings (via PostHog) to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve content, navigation, and overall user experience. We use these insights to fix bugs, optimize user flows, and refine our platform’s features.
Ensure Security and Prevent Misuse
We may use data (such as IP addresses and activity logs) to maintain the security of our website, detect fraud or malicious activity, and enforce our Terms of Use. This is standard practice to protect our platform and users.
We rely on your consent to process personal data that you actively submit to us (since you are willingly providing it for a specific purpose), and on our legitimate interests in operating and improving our site and following up with prospective users. These uses are balanced against your rights and privacy — we will not use your data in ways that are unexpected or intrusive. If we ever wish to use your personal data for a new purpose not described here, we will update this Privacy Policy and, if required by law, seek your consent.
5. Lawful Bases for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are located in regions like the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process personal data under the lawful bases recognized by the GDPR/UK GDPR:
Consent
We process personal information you provide through forms or sign-ups on the basis of your consent. For example, when you join our waitlist or opt in to receive updates, you consent to our use of your email to contact you. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate Interests
We process certain data based on our legitimate interests. This includes using your information to follow up on your expressed interest in Articos (e.g., sending you beta access information or product updates), to maintain and improve our website (including performing analytics and session replays via PostHog), and to ensure security and prevent misuse of our platform. We always balance our interests against your rights and reasonable expectations.
Legal Obligations
We may process personal data when necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as responding to lawful requests or regulatory requirements.
Note: We do not currently process data on the basis of “performance of a contract,” because our platform is in beta and we are not offering paid services or user accounts at this stage. The site is for informational and experimental use only.
6. Sharing of Data
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We only share your data in the following circumstances:
Service Providers
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our website and deliver our services. These providers will only receive the information necessary to perform their specific services on our behalf, and are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and secure. For example, we use PostHog as our analytics and session recording provider, which processes usage data for us. We also use cloud hosting services to store data (such as your sign-up information or analysis results) securely, and we may use an email delivery service to send out newsletters or updates. All such service providers are bound to use your data only under our instructions and for the purposes we’ve specified.
Legal Requirements and Protection
We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal processes (such as a court order, subpoena, or regulatory inquiry). We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety or rights of any person, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved. Any such disclosure will be done in compliance with applicable laws.
Business Transfers
As a startup company, Articos may undergo changes as our business develops. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that transaction. If such a transfer occurs, the use of your personal data will remain subject to the promises made in this Privacy Policy, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information as required by law.
7. International Data Transfers
Articos is designed for users around the world. Consequently, the infrastructure and services we use may be located in multiple countries. Your personal data might be stored and processed on servers outside of your home country, including servers in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or another region with laws governing data collection and use, please note that your information may be transferred to countries which may not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction. In such cases, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal data remains protected in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. These safeguards include one or more of the following:
- Only transferring your data to countries that have been officially recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection; or
- Relying on standard contractual clauses or other legally approved transfer mechanisms to ensure your data is safeguarded according to EU/UK data protection standards.
By using our site or submitting your information, you understand that your personal data may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own. However, no matter where your data is processed, we will maintain the same level of privacy protection described in this Policy.
8. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which you provided it, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
For example, if you join our waitlist or provide your email to receive updates, we will keep your contact information for as long as we continue to send you updates or until you opt out. If you submit a landing page for analysis, we will retain the submission and any results for as long as needed to provide you with the service and improve our platform. We periodically review the data we hold and will securely delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed for the stated purposes — such as if you withdraw your interest, request deletion, or after a prolonged period of inactivity.
In some cases, we may retain limited information for longer periods if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. For instance, we might keep records of communications or consents to demonstrate compliance with data protection laws, or to honor opt-out or deletion requests. Our retention practices are designed to adhere to the principle of storage limitation, meaning we don’t keep personal data indefinitely without justification.
9. Security Measures
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our safeguards include:
Data Encryption & Secure Transmission
Any personal data you provide to us is transmitted using encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to prevent eavesdropping. Where possible, we also encrypt data at rest. We use secure cloud servers to store your information, and we maintain up-to-date firewalls and security protocols to protect against unauthorized access.
Access Controls
Access to personal data within Articos is restricted to a small number of authorized team members who need the information to perform their duties (for example, team members responsible for customer outreach or system maintenance). We employ access control mechanisms and authentication to ensure that only those with the proper authority can access sensitive data. Additionally, any third-party service providers handling personal data on our behalf are required to maintain strict confidentiality and security standards.
Organizational Policies
We have internal policies and training in place to ensure anyone at Articos who handles personal data does so with care and integrity. We regularly review our data handling practices and permissions to minimize risks. As our platform evolves, we continuously evaluate and enhance our security measures to address new potential risks.
Testing and Maintenance
Our website and infrastructure are routinely monitored for vulnerabilities. We apply security patches and software updates promptly to guard against known threats. We also perform regular backups of critical data to prevent loss in case of system failure or other issues.
Despite all our efforts, please note that no website or Internet transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data — especially for data transmitted over public networks. You share information at your own risk, and we encourage you to take precautions as well (for example, avoid reusing passwords and do not share sensitive personal details in areas not specifically requested by us). In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulatory authorities as required by law.
10. Your Rights
You have certain rights regarding your personal data, and we are committed to honoring them. Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), your rights may include:
Right to Access
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, as well as information on how we use it and who we share it with.
Right to Correction
You have the right to request that we correct or update any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we have about you. (Under California’s CCPA, you may similarly request that we update any inaccurate information we hold about you.)
Right to Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, if you withdraw your consent, or if we have processed your data unlawfully. We will honor valid deletion requests and erase your data, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons. (For California residents, note that the CCPA provides the right to request deletion of your data, with certain exceptions where retention is required by law. Upon a verified deletion request, we will delete your data within the timeframe required by applicable law, such as within 30 days.)
Right to Object to Processing
You have the right to object to certain types of processing of your data, for example if we are processing your data based on our legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
Right to Object to Automated Decision-Making
If we ever use automated decision-making (algorithms without human involvement) that significantly affects you, you have the right not to be subject to such decisions without human intervention. In such cases, you can request a human review of any automated decision.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to request your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format, so that you can transfer it to another service provider if you wish. Where technically feasible, you can also request that we transfer the data directly to another provider on your behalf.
Right to Withdraw Consent
If we are processing your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Once you withdraw consent, we will stop the specific processing that was based on your consent.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Information
If applicable, you have the right to direct us not to sell your personal information. However, for clarity, Articos does not sell personal data to third parties, so your information is not sold in any case.
To exercise any of these rights, you can contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Please note that to protect your privacy, we may take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (such as access or deletion requests).
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new operational or legal requirements, or for other important reasons. If we make material changes to how we handle your personal information, we will provide a prominent notice on our website or notify you by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when the latest revisions were made.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how Articos is protecting your information. Any changes to this Policy will become effective when posted on this page, unless stated otherwise. If we update the Policy, we will also update the Effective Date. In cases where your consent is required by law for us to change our data practices, we will obtain your consent before the new practices take effect.
Your continued use of our site or services after any changes to the Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms (to the extent permitted by law). If you do not agree with any changes, you have the right to stop using the site and may contact us to request deletion of your data.
12. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal data, please contact us at [email protected].
We value your privacy and will address your inquiries as best as we can. Thank you for trusting Articos with your information.
